Flow station to allow HEPA-filtered processing and
exhaust ventilation
-
Optional control modules isolate
bath controls from the processing area
-
Custom engineered
to meet specific application requirements!
|
| Like Terra's Wet Processing Cabinets on
the previous pages, these modular benches accommodate
a complete line of baths, rinsers, cleaners, and other
processing modules to suit your application.
All-polypropylene models are compatible with
most acids and other process chemistries. 304 Stainless
steel models are suitable for solvent cleaning.
Both standard systems include a raised lip to
contain spills and a sub-deck plenum with a 2"-diameter
drain valve for safe collection of overflow chemicals.
An optional plenum flush feature lets you wash
this sink with water as it drains.
Versatile Configurations
Select
from among three configurations (see illustrations
below). The standard bench is designed for operation with
Terra's Vertical Laminar Flow Station and features controls
mounted at the rear of the processing area. The Vertical
Laminar Flow Station provides a continuous flow of filtered
air to the work area. It incorporates HEPA filters and
operates at only 50dBA.

Standard Wet Bench
For use with Vertical
Laminar Flow Hood
This economical design allows placement beneath
a laminar flow hood, which provides a downward
flow of HEPA-filtered air to prevent particulate
contamination in the work area (see photo
on next page). A 10"-diameter flange is provided
on the rear of the station for connection
to your in-house ventilation system. A 2.5"
raised lip surrounds the work area to prevent
floor spills, and perforations along the front
lip safely drain spills into the full-length
plenum sink located under the work surface.
An optional plenum flush quickly empties the
plenum through a drain valve.
Convenient front-panel valves control operation
of nitrogen or auxiliary gas equipment, DI
water, exhaust venting, and power. A storage
area below the deck holds collection tanks
or reserve chemicals.
In this configuration, process
bath controls are mounted at the rear of the
station, immediately above air-flow control
baffles.
|
|
 |
Standard Wet Bench
with Overhead
Control Case
As an alternative to a side control module,
process bath controls are mounted inside an
overhead control case. This configuration
eliminates the need for operators to reach
over baths in order to access controls. For
additional safety, an optional vapor containment
hood is installed over the work deck.
| These modular, economical
stations are configured to meet your processing
requirements for bath layout, particle-free
laminar flow, exhaust fume removaleven
robotic transfer. |
|
|
| |
 |
Standard Wet Bench with
Side Control Module
For use with Vertical
Laminar Flow Hood
In many applications, safety
dictates that process bath controls be isolated
from the process baths. A side control module
allows operators convenient access to all
system controls without the need to reach
over potentially hazardous process chemicals.
The housing includes all electronics, and
allows convenient service access from the
right side of the unit.

|
| Adjustable baffles on
the wet processing station let you balance this flow of
air between the front and the rear of the processing deck,
as your application requires. Opening them completely
ventilates fumes away from the operator; closing them
increases the force of the filtered-air curtain at the
front of the station.
Whatever your application, Terra engineers will work
with yours to develop a deck configuration that's
right for your process. Baths, rinsers, and other
process modules can be arranged in a single or double
row; see the following pages for more application
information.
Standard systems include a reinforced bench of the
specified size and material, a storage cabinet, and
a 10"-diameter exhaust flange. Polypropylene leveling
feet are included; specify optional 4"-diameter retractable
casters for easier positioning. Convenient front-panel
valves control operation of nitrogen or auxiliary gas
equipment, DI water, exhaust venting, and power (order
separately). |
