Terra's all-steel BioSafe Cleanrooms
provide smooth surfaces, inside and out. They stand up to
standard disinfectants and sterilization procedures and can
be specified with anti-microbial surface coatings.
The BioSafe Cleanroom creates a rigid, self-supporting structure
without a separate frame or external bracing—a key advantage
over competitor designs that require special permitting and
contractor installation.
The modular design of these rooms makes them easy to assemble,
disassemble, and reconfigure as needs change. The double-wall
panels create a convenient installation zone for electrical
conduit, gas and vacuum service lines, enhancing system cleanliness
and appearance. In controlled temperature applications, this
void can be insulated to optimize thermal stability and reduce
energy costs.
The ceiling grid creates standard 2' x 4' bays for installation
of Terra's standard HEPA or ULPA filter/fan units and lights,
or optional UV sterilization and fluorescence detection modules.
These rooms accommodate the full range of cleanroom configuration
options, including air conditioning, dehumidification modules,
and ventilation equipment (see information below).

the material for your application. A Terra application specialist
works with you to develop the floor plan, panel heights and
other configuration details you require. Standard 7'-high
panels create a room that fits beneath a standard 9' ceiling.

Smooth, Easy-Clean Surfaces
Panels are precision-joined to create
ultra-smooth surfaces that are easy to wipe down and
disinfect. Sanaprene® elastomeric gaskets
seal adjacent panels and eliminate cracks and voids
that harbor germs and other contaminants. One-inch
radius corners further simplify cleaning.
Double-Wall Panel Construction
Unique panel design creates strong, rigid
structure without external bracing and accommodates
flush-mount control panel and optional utilities—electrical
outlets, gas and vacuum ports—without dirty,
unsightly conduit.
Modular, Versatile Design
The versatile Bio-Safe design accommodates
most of Terra's standard cleanroom components:
This antimicrobial compound suppresses
the growth of bacteria, mold, fungi and other microbes.
It is ideal for biological and pharmaceutical applications,
as well as food processing, medical device manufacturing,
and other life-science operations. Surface coatings
are available for powder-coated and stainless steel
panels.
Raised Flooring
Encapsulated aluminum grated panels optimize laminar
air flow. Solid aluminum panels can be sloped and covered
with a washable liner in disinfectant spray applications.

Doors
Standard Door
Aluminum frame with choice of acrylic or static-dissipative
PVC panel and pneumatic closure. Standard mounting is
on right panel of shorter wall; specify other desired
location. Standard swing is outward (away from room).

Sliding Door This aluminum-frame door slides open along an extruded
aluminum track to an opening of 36". Requires two 4-foot
panels for installation. Standard model slides open
from right to left; specify left to right slide, if
desired. Overall dimensions: 40" W x 82" H

Electronic Door Control
This photoeye-activated unit is integrated with Terra's standard single or double sliding door for rapid, hands-free operation.

Shield Door Strip shields can be mounted in place of a standard
door or 4-foot hardwall panel at any location along the

Control Panel (Included Standard)
Mounted to the right of the access door,
this panel allows convenient control of filter/fan units,
lights, ionizing modules, and other environmental monitoring
equipment selected for your hardwall modular cleanroom.
Fabricated of stainless steel. A Control Panel, configured
to accommodate options specified with the order, is
included with each hardwall cleanroom.
Removable Service
Panel
Allows convenient servicing of equipment
installed inside the enclosure, with minimal disruption
of the internal environment.
